DESCRIPTION: AZTEC
COATINGS™ ELASTOMERIC BLACK EMULSION ROOF COATING is an
insulating and waterproofing undercoating. This coating
is used as the base coating for the AZTEC COATINGS™ White
Elastomeric Roof Coating. This product, which is black
in color, has excellent coverage and promotes proper adhesion
to the substrate. This coating forms a thick, crack resistant
shield that resists peeling and cracking. This coating
is used for priming and reinforcing any substrate that
may need it prior to applying the AZTEC COATINGS™ White
Elastomeric Acrylic Roof Coating. These products when
used together form a thick, rubber shield that expands
and contracts over 300% to prevent roof damage. It resists
cracking, peeling and mildew, while offering unbeatable
waterproof protection and long-term life.

PREPARATION: All surfaces
must be dry and free of dust, dirt, oil loose granules,
gravel or peeling paint and all other foreign matter.
Rusty metal must be cleaned with a wire brush, primed
with a suitable primer and all joints should be taped
with our Butyl Adhesive Tape Pressure washing entire surface
is recommended for best results. Repair all leaks and
cracks with White Woven Glass Fabric and White Roof Patch,
allowing to cure 24-48 hours before application of roof
coating. Surfaces previously coated with aluminum, asphalt
or tar should be allowed to cure a minimum of one summer
season prior to coating with this product. Surfaces with
mildew growth or stains must be cleaned with a bleach
solution (2 parts water to one part bleach) prior to applying
this product. Be certain all surfaces are thoroughly rinsed
and dry prior to applying coating.
APPLICATION: AZTEC
COATINGS™ ELASTOMERIC ACRYLIC EMULSION ROOF COATING should
be uniformly applied by a roller, brush, or a commercial
sprayer. If reduction of viscosity is desired, thin with
SK-1320.
FOR BEST RESULTS:
DO NOT THIN, SURFACE TEMPERATURE MUST BE MINIMUM OF 55º
F AND RISING. DO NOT APPLY IF HEAVY DEW OR RAIN IS EXPECTED
WITHIN 24 HOURS. YEARLY INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE WILL
GREATLY ENHANCE THE LIFE OF THE COATING.
Do not allow stored product to freeze.
COVERAGE RATE: Apply
at 75-100 sq. ft. per gallon per coat, depending on the
surface. One (1) coat of
AZTEC COATINGS™ ELASTOMERIC ACRYLIC EMULSION ROOF COATING
and two (2) coats of AZTEC COATINGS™ White Elastomeric
Acrylic Roof Coating are recommended for maximum results.
CLEAN-UP: Clean tools
with soap and water.
NOTICE: If roof becomes hot (over 100º F) during
application, lightly mist roof surface with water spray
to prevent coating from drying too fast. Remove any excess
or puddling water prior to coating. If roof surface becomes
soiled as they age, due to elements, surface can be cleaned
with a mild water and bleach solution. Excess scrubbing
should be avoided.

FIRST AID: Avoid prolonged breathing of vapor or spray
mist. (NIOSH/MSHA TC 23C or equivalent).
In case of:
INGESTION: Contact a physician immediately.
SKIN CONTACT: Wash thoroughly with soap and water.
EYE CONTACT: Flush thoroughly with clean water and contact
a physician immediately.
